Using ink, I create layers, textures, and depth to evoke emotions of familiarity and nostalgia. I am drawn to the energy and emotive power found in simple, bold lines. My goal is to capture an essence through texture, shadow, and contrast that feels more than just visual—it becomes an experience that the viewer can almost touch, hear, and remember.
Recently I stumbled onto a Welsh phrase, “dod yn ôl at fy nghoed” that means “to return to my trees”. On a deeper level the phrase is used to express a desire to reconnect with nature. With my own ancestry linked to the British Isle, I feel as if this phrase was hand picked for my current journey.
